Accommodation Notodden Blues Festival
Notodden Blues Festival has been held since 1988. It is held the first weekend in August every year from Thursday to Sunday and is a weekend that changes the entire town of Notodden. The Blues Festival is known throughout Norway and the population of Notodden multiplies during these days. It is a bustling community with lots of music.
In 1998, the blues festival received the Telemark County Council Culture Award and in 2010 it was named the world's best blues festival.
During the four festival days, there are many concerts at different locations, stalls and a funfair. This is definitely a festival that should be experienced by those who like music and party people.
Notodden Blues Festival at Notodden Camping AS
Notodden Camping is also transformed into a festival camp these days and festival buses run from the campsite to the city center several times an hour.
The festival bus that transports people to and from the city stops right outside the reception.
Book a place
You can book a camper, caravan or tent space by going to the booking system to secure one for the next festival.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to book cabins online. As our cabin park is unfortunately pre-booked.
Payment is made as usual at check-in, there are separate blues prices during the whole week of the Blues Festival. We are the only regular campsite in Notodden and offer our blues guests sanitary facilities with toilet and shower.
In 2015 we built a small "jam stage" where blues guests can make their own little concert, this was well received and we hope to continue this success. We encourage those who feel like performing during the festival to bring instruments.
From 2018 it will not be possible to check in with us for just one day. We have a very high demand when it comes to the blues festival, and we strongly encourage everyone to pre-book a place to be sure of getting a place.
